Mike Wu has been a podiatrist since 2007. He first graduated from Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand. He further advanced his training by completing postgraduate diploma course in Sports Medicine from Otago University in 2010. Mike worked for a nation-wide podiatry company back in New Zealand where he had been put to open a new clinic in Auckland to work alongside sports doctor, orthopaedic surgeon, pain specialist, and physiotherapist. He was also involved with Adidas to fit shoes for all Super 12 rugby teams.
Mike moved to Sydney 5 years ago where he joined one of the largest podiatry practice in NSW. He was the Head Podiatrist and was involved in many projects including mentoring junior podiatrists, education, training, and even helped developed a newly acquired Biomechanical/sports specialist clinic.
Over the years through ongoing education Mike has acquired many skills like manual therapy, manipulation, dry needling, laser therapy, and shockwave therapy. This allows Mike to help his patients in more ways, to help them recover from their injuries/pain faster so they can continue to enjoy their active lifestyle.
In his spare time, Mike loves spending time with his young family. He cannot resist to check his 18-months old son's cute little feet everyday and always watching how he's walking! Mike has always been active competed in judo and participated in few running events.
If you are lucky, Mike might throw in a few arias when his treating your feet as he was a choral member of NZ Opera back in NZ!
